A powerful spiritual tool you have never heard of

Have you ever wondered about the meaning of your name, or what else the date of your birth might mean? Many traditions believe that our name was whispered to our parents at the time of our birth and carries a profound message. In a similar fashion, many traditions believe that we chose our time of birth to align with other messages.

The Kabbalah teaches that each Hebrew name is connected to a Psukim or verse that gives us insight into our soul’s purpose. The verse starts with the first letter of your name and ends with the last letter of your name. If you do not know your Hebrew name (most people do not) you can easily look it up online (here is one site: https://my-hebrew-name.com/) You can then look up the verse related to your name here: https://oneofakind-store.com/hadayasbook. (I am not associated with either organization)

There may be more than one verse, so read and sit with each one and feel how they resonate, or not, with you. Even if the words do not make sense, does the theme or overall notion somehow align with your life journey? For some people, their middle name is a better fit. In my case, I used both my first and middle name. Play with this tool and let me know if you need help. These verses are so powerful that individuals who have had a near-death experience or are very ill, often add a new Hebrew name to bring in the strength of that name.

The second secret message comes from your date and the biblical verse that was being read that week. You can use this website: https://aish.com/my-hebrew-name-and-birthday/ to find the parsha (or portion) that in linked to your birthday. Much like an astrological chart, this must be read not just of the “facts” but for the metaphorical messages hidden in the story. This might feel difficult since we are so used to reading biblical passages for their basic meaning.

Kabbalah teaches that there are mysteries, secrets, guidance, and messages in the world around us. Imagine that your name was spiritually chosen and your date of birth aligns with your soul’s purpose. Try liking your name to your parsha and play with the mystical meaning behind the story and the verse. One of the beautiful aspects of this practice is how individual it is. How do these words and this story speak to you? Try imagining that you are dreaming and the story and verse are in your dreams. How would you interpret them? What ancient mystery echoes in your heart?

You can use this technique anytime you are facing a major decision or life challenge, or even just want comfort. Even though the words will not change, the way you understand them will. And this is the power of these techniques. Let me know what happens when you try these or feel free to contact me if you need some friendly support.
