Shabbat Blessing #6

Choosing What We Focus On

At times, it is easier to focus on our fears or our wounds. We review the painful events in our lives, rehearsing and rehashing what happened, what we should have said, what we wish we had done. Or we focus on our fears, on what might happen, sure we might catch every and any illness in the world.

We worry about tripping and then stop walking. We are afraid of a virus and stop leaving the house. We have an aching body part and spend our day thinking about our pain. We see endings, ignoring the beauty of transformation and change. We forget that laughter chases away pain and fear. We forget that we are surrounded by love, miracles, and joyful moments.

Wishing you the awareness that we live on a beautiful planet and have everything we need to feel blessed.
Especially on Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom
